Have you ever seen a woodpecker digging into a tree or a wooden post? It is amazing to see how they peck at it, especially when you consider what it would do to a human brain if we were banging our heads against wood that hard. Fortunately, for woodpeckers they are made in such a way that they can handle it. On top of their ability to peck, they also have amazing hearing and eyesight, which they use for locating bugs to dig out of trees. The only problem is that they will sometimes find bugs in your walls, and that will attract them to start pecking on your home.

The solution to the problem could be to get rid of the bugs, but sometimes, woodpeckers will just use your home as a sounding board to attract a mate, and that might make it a little more complicated to get rid of them.

Installing netting that will keep them from getting access to the areas where they have been pecking can sometimes help. You could also install something more durable and solid over the area where they are pecking to stop them.
