Bed bugs are truly one’s worst nightmare. They’re tiny, flightless, almost invisible to the naked eye, and such on the blood of humans and warm-blooded animals. If your home is infested, how can you get rid of them?

Well, knowledge is power, and you can use this power to defeat the enemy – bed bugs. So you know for a fact that these bothersome bugs are flightless and almost invisible to your eye because of their size. Keeping this in mind, the best thing that you can do is call a professional exterminator. If you try and exterminate the bed bugs on your own, you may end up spreading the infestation even further. However, what you can do is that looking at all of your possessions to see if bed bugs infest them. They can hide in books, bed boards, mattresses, bed skirts, etc. If you do find evidence of bed bugs, you may have to throw out the possessions that are infected with the bugs, unless you want to keep your valuables in vacuum sealed packages for a couple months, waiting for the bugs to die.

In order to confirm that you do have bed bugs, here are a few suggestions. Using duct tape, put a piece at the bottom of all your furniture legs with the sticky part sticking out. With this, the bugs will be trapped against the tape, and you will have your proof. If you have a bed skirt for your bed, make sure that it doesn’t reach the floor. If you happen across bed bugs lined on the inside of the skirt, there’s more proof.

With these things in mind, unfortunately, all you can do is discover evidence of bedbugs, then call a professional who knows what they are doing in order to exterminate the infestation.
